Welcome to the Substack of Daren Wang, writer. I’m a novelist, occasional freelance writer, and public radio producer. I was one of the founders of the Decatur Book Festival, and ran the event from 2005 through 2017. Of late, I founded the Emory Ideas Festival as part of my work at the Center for Public Scholarship and Engagement. (Emory and the CPSE have nothing to do with any opinions I post. Hell, they may even like Sting, and lord knows I detest the guy.)
